About Us
All of the tradition and excellence that belongs to Georgia's Student Athletes can now be heard live and archived on the Internet at GAPREP.COM. Georgia owned and operated, our company is committed to giving student athletes state and worldwide exposure through sports broadcasts on the World Wide Web.
GaPrep.Com has turned into a hobby for me. I buy in bulk from www.allinbroadcasting.com
and pass the savings along to the school that does the broadcasting. We do
not have any advertisers nor do we take any advertising inventory from the
schools. We are merely a website that lists games for schools and
facilitates a web link so their fans, alumni, and recruiters can hear the game.
Since GaPrep's inception in September 2000, visitors numbering in the tens of thousands from around the state of Georgia
and across the globe have come to visit and listen to these innovative webcasts.
If your high school, county, or region is interested in having their athletic contests broadcast to a state wide audience, please contact us at
BradCox@
gmail.com
If your school is already broadcasting on radio, but looking for a complete coverage area with the power of Internet technology, GAPREP can also be of assistance to you.
Marist: Phil Etheridge and Jim Nichols
Phil Etheridge, left in photo,
will be calling the play-by-play action for the fifth year to the Marist family
on War Eagle broadcasts.
A 1995 Marist graduate, Jim Nichols joins the Marist broadcast team as a broadcast analyst for his
fourth year in the booth.
Roy Williams, Play-by-Play Announcer & Broadcast Analyst
An accountant by profession (Samford '96),
Roy is also a tremendous Play-by-Play announcer. After having
broadcast the GHSA basketball playoffs in 2002 along with the thrilling
description of the Wheeler / Lakeside basketball Championship game, Roy
continues to make his mark as one of the great up and coming announcers
in Georgia.
With a style favoring the legendary
Georgia Bulldog mic man Larry Munson, Roy's brilliant descriptions of
the exploits of student-athletes are sure to be enjoyed by our listeners
at GaPrep.Com.
Brad Cox
Brad
Cox is a native Georgian and a 1990 graduate of
Dunwoody High School. Coming from a strong background dedicated to
education, Cox earned a B.A. degree in Telecommunications from Baylor
University (Waco, Texas) in 1995.
While a student at Baylor, he had the
privilege of studying under the legendary "Voice of the Final
Four", Frank Fallon, and during the summer of 1994, interned with
Steve Holman at WGST 640 AM in Atlanta, GA while also interning for the
Atlanta Braves Radio Network under the expert guidance of Matt Stewart
and Steve Getty. After graduating, Cox worked as a sports
announcer for Baylor, and later excelled as a program director for the
Nauticom Sports Network.
With tremendous experience having
broadcast collegiate and prep sporting events since 1991 in Texas, Cox
felt it was time to bring the passionate excitement that belongs to prep
sports to his native Georgia. Realizing that so many youngsters
weren't receiving the state wide attention they deserved, he felt that a
website dedicated to "Webcasting Georgia's Student Athletes"
was in order.
Abe Gordon
Abe has graduated from Dunwoody High School and is a Sophomore at Indiana. He has plans to be a professional
Sportscaster. He was the only student who was a football play-by-play announcer in the state of Georgia while attending Dunwoody. His favorite sports to cover are football, basketball,
baseball, and hockey. A true advocate of placing academics
first, Abe still understands the importance of athletics in building
school pride, tradition and community. Abe is currently studying sports
journalism at Indiana.
